Clear Problem Statement
Students and teachers encounter difficulties with distance learning due to the unstable or lack of internet connection, which provides struggle towards teachers in delivering their lessons.
Identified Challenge Area
Some students cannot attend online classes, this allows them to miss out on the modules and required homework posted online, making it hard to catch up.
Inspiration
Our inspiration is the heart and the will of our fellow Filipino students that want to keep studying despite all the difficulties that they are going through.
Target Users/ Audience
The target audience is the teachers and the students that could benefit from this app- those who have unstable internet connections and have a hard time uploading files to pass. Also, the teachers who want to secure their students’ education.
Proposed Solution
Our proposed solution is an app that provides a delivery service that takes school work from the teachers to the students and back.
Why is it Relevant?
It is relevant today because of the country’s current condition. Due to the pandemic, people under twenty-one are not permitted to go outside of their homes, thus forcing the student to distance learning. However, some students do not have the means of participating in online classes. Our delivery service would provide these students the opportunity to continue their education despite not having stable internet or going to school.
How did We Build it?
We were able to build the idea of bringing homework to the students through conceptualization.
Accomplishments we're proud of
One of our proudest accomplishments is how we have worked as a group to put together an idea that could change the future of distance learning.
Challenges we encounter
One of the challenges we faced as a group was who we were serving. We debated whether we were to serve the students and teachers that have an easy internet connection and make a system that benefits them, or a system that serves any student or teacher so that no one gets left behind or achieving their future.
We concluded that those with Wi-Fi are already in a good place, and all they have to do is make the most out of the resources that they already have. But, those that struggle despite all their hard work deserve a chance to be a part of a brighter future.
What did we learn?
App development is difficult and there are many flaws to cover up.
