Inspiration
When we were discussing our project ideas, we thought of predicting future events that are usually up to chance, like the spin of a roulette wheel. eventually we decided on the idea of stocks.
What it does
The Future of Finance uses a Microsoft Power Agent AI guided to specific sources to inform the user of stocks that are rising(and therefor likely to rise more) and those that are falling. It also includes a unique game hosted on itch.io, and information about the website.
How we built it
First, we selected articles to train the Power Agent. We used a link to embed the Power Agent in a HTML page, which later received information. The game was coded in python. The Python Code had to be changed after it was made to work with itch.io. The Favicon image and some of the game assets were made at pixelart.com The game was hosted by itch.io.
Challenges we ran into
It was difficult to have the Power Agent output advice, as AI typically avoid giving finance advice. It also was hard to integrate the HTML and Python code. So we decided to host the python on itch.io. We had to alter the code quite a bit for it to be compatible
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that we were able to make the game work on Itch.io, and that we were able to make a model that responded to requests well.
What we learned
We learned how to utilize machine learning and combine diverse inputs (Microsoft Power Agents and Videos) with HTML. We learned how to give Power Agents websites to draw data from. We also learneed how to publish a python game to itch.io.
What's next for Future of Finance
We would plan to add a bot that can pull directly from wall street and give advice about future stock prospects
