Inspiration

We developed this mobile app to encourage middle school and high school age students to explore career options or career fields of interest.

Our Solution. This app is the first app that designed specifically for students middle school to high school students. Our brainstorming of useful mobile apps lead to the idea of an app that would allow my friends and I to learn more about career building.

What it does

This app was designed for Middle school to High School students. The purpose of this mobile app is to get students thinking about jobs and careers at an early age. We hope this mobile app inspires students to take interest in planning for their future! The app uses text to speech to welcome its user, then allows the user to explore popular career fields and the jobs within these career fields.

How we built it

We worked together to create this app using MIT App Inventor.

Challenges we ran into

One challenge was coming up with an idea that has not already been achieved. Another challenge we found were being able to properly check our mobile app since we did not have android tablets.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are most proud of creating an mobile app and being able to submit it for entry in the Lenovo national mobile app contest.

What we learned

We learned how to design and create an app using MIT App Inventor.

What's next for Future Me

Next Steps. If my school participates next year, I will be knowledgeable of how to use App Inventor so that will give us a heads up. And I would also start thinking of ideas for the best mobile app starting now.
