Inspiration

Our inspiration came from the frustration of managing medical data from multiple doctors. One of our teammates has a Primary Care Physician at MIT and another back home. When she attempted to compare lab results and diagnoses from both doctors, she found herself logging into separate portals and sifting through reports to locate the necessary information. We aimed to simplify this process and provide individuals with a unified solution for better healthcare decisions.

What it does

Our solution streamlines medical data management, unifies advice from different healthcare providers, and empowers individuals to make informed decisions about their health.

How we built it

We built our solution using a combination of technologies, including ReactJS, ChartJS, ChakraUI for the frontend, and Python (and Python packages) for data parsing. We were also in the process of training an NLP model to analyze multiple doctor reports for comprehensive insights.

Challenges we ran into

On the technical side, creating a user-friendly dashboard and handling diverse data formats required careful consideration. Additionally, in working on the NLP models, we noticed it was quite intricate and not easily achievable. On the personal side, we were combatting against health issues that developed during the day which affected the productivity of the team members.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of designing a user-friendly, comprehensive healthcare solution that simplifies medical data management. We also implemented a payment feature. Our team's dedication to addressing complex challenges and working on valuable product is a significant accomplishment.

What we learned

Throughout the development process, we gained insights into the importance of personalizing healthcare solutions. We understood better how to use React.js and others effectively. We also improved our technical skills in data parsing and NLP.

What's next for Fusion

In the future, we plan to provide more extensive analytics, including vital signs and predictive health modeling. Our goal is to continue enhancing our solution to empower individuals with even more comprehensive healthcare insights.
