Inspiration
Traditional e-commerce payment transactions often involve various intermediaries, resulting in higher fees, longer processing times, and potential security risks. Cryptocurrencies were born with a promise to fix this long processing and high fee experience. However, if a user wants to spend their crypto, they must convert it to fiat. This hurdle prevents the mass adoption of cryptocurrencies as a payment method. There is a growing need for individuals to use cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin or Solana as a means of payment. However, consumers have limited options allowing them to use digital currencies directly on e-commerce platforms.
What it does
Fuseum converts digital currencies into redeemable vouchers on e-commerce sites like Amazon, enabling instant and secure crypto payments for all. Leveraging the power of blockchains and integrating Chainlink oracle ensure fast and secure transactions and accurate price for merchants and consumers alike.
How we built it
We developed Fuseum as a Chrome extension to make sure users have a seamless browsing experience. Transactions are secured and processed on-chain to provide immutable evidence of transactions. We implemented robust APIs to facilitate the purchase of Amazon gift cards using LINK’s oracle price feeding system.
Challenges we ran into
We successfully launched Fuseum, making it easy for users to purchase Amazon gift cards with cryptocurrency. Achieving a smooth user experience and secure transactions are significant milestones. We are also proud of our innovative approach in bridging the gap between traditional e-commerce and blockchain technology.
