Inspiration
Everyone loves to travel, even people with disabilities. For some disabled individuals, service dogs are a powerful medical tool, allowing them freedom they wouldn't have otherwise had. However, people with service dogs are sometimes unjustly denied boarding onto aircrafts, on both domestic and international flights. This issue stems from a lack of information on service dogs and each countries unique animal travel laws. There is nothing worse than getting to the airport for your trip and being told no. Furry Flights aims to put service dog travel information into the hands of disabled individuals.
What it does
Furry Paws website takes an input of where someone is traveling and returns information about traveling to that place.
How we built it
First, we spent hours researching different regulations, we then built a website using html. Finally we added a json file that contains information about the different countries.
Challenges we ran into
Incorporating so many countries took a really long time to include everything.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
110 locations was certainly a lot to research, so to have some information for each country in 24 hours is impressive.

What's next for Furry Flights
Furry Flights would like to add a page of information for airline employees to raise awareness for service dogs to prevent future misunderstandings. We also would like to continue to research different countries laws and regulations to make sure that we provide only the most accurate detailed information.
