Inspiration

My inspiration coming from that I have no idea where to take my kid in the weekend. Finding event for family takes a lot of time. I need to go the city website, the public library website, or even go to some place to get the flyer in person. It would be better if we can have some application that show list of in coming events suitable for kids in one place.

What it does

It is a platform where parents can find events that can have fun with kids. It supports finding event based on your location, and search events based on date. Volunteers and event organizer can share events in the platform too. You can add the event to the google calendar(upcoming). Creators can share events in the platform and modify the events contents.

How we built it

I use Figma to design the layout and UI for the app, and use modern technology React frontend framework, Express.js for backend. And use MongoDB for the database.

Challenges we ran into

Time is very limited. When I see the hackathon. It only has 7 days left. And I don't have enough time to find a teammate to work on it, so I need to work on it alone. There is some function that I still need to work on it.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I already finish part of the function(like show a list of events, create new events, authentication) I want to built. And it would benefit a lot for the communities.

What's next for FunWithKid

The next part I will still need to finish all the function of it. The send to calendar function and there is some need to develop a backstage management system which can review the events the creator submits and them publish it. I also want to add the OAuth to it. So that it supports login using the third party.
