Inspiration

We realized that there was no dedicated platform for venues and party organizers where they can check available dates, prices of venues. Through our platform, organizers can make informed decisions on venues whiles venues can have a pact with organizers. Venues benefit from increased visibility. Both venues and organizers can rate each other. Further, we want to open our platforms to users in the future versions where they can rate the organizers and venues.

What it does

Through our platform, organizers can make informed decisions on venues whiles venues can have a pact with organizers. Venues benefit from increased visibility. Both venues and organizers can rate each other. Further, we want to open our platforms to users in the future versions where they can rate the organizers and venues.

How we built it

We build our platform using Android and Firebase. We were novices to Firebase development, thereby, couldn't develop slot booking page.

Challenges we ran into

Backend development using Firebase was a major challenge for us as we were implementing it for the first time as well as it was our first hackathon.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

It was our first hackathon and that too organized by a respected organization. We are proud to take part in it, and got opportunities to interact with students from all over India.

What we learned

Finalization of the idea took a lot of time for us so we were left a very little time for development as well. We were also not well versed on backend development. We learnt to think of an idea fast as well as be well versed on the technologies to be used.

What's next for FunOn

We plan to add functionalities to the app which we were not able to add in the hackathon. We also plan to add user section on the app.
