Inspiration
I’ve always loved games—growing up, I spent countless hours playing classics like UNO and Minesweeper. I wanted to create something that brought that same sense of joy and nostalgia to others, but in a modern, accessible way. Funn Games was inspired by the idea that anyone should be able to instantly relax, smile, and play—no accounts, no ads, no friction. Just pure funn, built with love using Bolt.
What it does
Funn Games is a free, ad-free online arcade you can play instantly on any browser—mobile or desktop. It features a mix of classic games like Tetris, Tic Tac Toe, and Minesweeper, along with unique custom games like Where’s Wally and a Tank Shooting Game. No sign-ups, no downloads—just pure funn in one click.
How we built it
I built Funn Games using Bolt.new, which made it easy to quickly design and deploy a responsive, mobile-friendly arcade experience. I focused on clean UX, simple navigation, and lightweight game integration to ensure fast performance and accessibility. All the while managing everything without writing a single line of code—just creativity, passion, and the power of Bolt.
Challenges we ran into
One challenge was finding the right mix of classic and original games while keeping the experience lightweight and responsive across all devices. At times it was heard to decide on which game to incorporate into the arcade, which one to build next and how much to spend on it, given the time constraints of the Hackathon.
Another one was that sometimes when I built something it would work well on the web but not mobile and vice versa. So I had to do a lot of testing and refine each game carefully, finding the right balance and solution that would work across the web and mobile.
I also had to ensure everything worked smoothly without user accounts or ads, which meant focusing on smart UI/UX decisions. As a non-developer, learning to fully leverage Bolt’s capabilities was a fun challenge—but also proof that anyone can build something great with the right tools.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
-Over 100 active users in only a matter of days -They have played games over 1,000 times!! -User base already spread across 9 countries, 4 continents and quickly expanding -The end user experience is smooth, quick and frictionless. Plus, works seamlessly across both web and mobile -Seeing people having a lot of funn with the Bolt Arcade
Most of all, I’m proud that it brings joy and nostalgia to people, just like games did for me growing up.
What we learned
I learned that with the right tools—like Bolt—anyone can bring a creative idea to life, even without a technical background. I also discovered the importance of user experience: people love simplicity, speed, and fun without friction. Listening to early user feedback helped me improve the arcade quickly, and reminded me that great products come from combining passion, purpose, and play.
What's next for Funn Games: A Lot of Funn Right in Your Browser -Bolt Arcade
Next, I plan to add leaderboards, multiplayer options, and social sharing to boost engagement and fun. I’ll also launch a Community Game Jam to let users submit ideas and help shape future games. As the player base grows, I want to keep Funn Games free, fast, and funn—while exploring ways to personalize the experience without compromising the ad-free, no-login philosophy.
