Inspiration
My inspiration was finding a way to use the native transparency of a blockchain to solve a real problem that helps people. I was inspired to help charitable organizations be more efficient in their mission to help others.
What it does
Funds for Humanity is a defi crowdfunding application that creates customizable crowdfund contracts that provides direct payments to people in need with transparency for donors. Payments are chainlink keepers compatible and can be automated.
How I built it
I build the back end with the hardhat framework to develop and test the crowdfunding contracts and built the front end with next js. I also used chainlink for bringing off-chain data and automating the contracts.
Challenges I ran into
The biggest challenges that I ran into was balancing a smooth user experience in the front end while optimizing gas fees for the long term.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I am proud to say that I was able to independently build a full stack real problem-solving application in 4 weeks and I look forward to see what my idea grows into.
What I learned
This project really taught me how to hone in on full stack application development for evm compatible blockchains and showed me that I can build any idea that I put my mind to.
What's next for Funds For Humanity
I plan to continue to build more payment functionality and additional features to create a new standard for how crowdfunding is done with cryptocurrency.
