What Inspired Us
As two young investors, we always used to look for crowdfunding apps, but something was wrong. Searching for projects we were interested in was taking too long. Then, we noticed something: social media platforms with short-form content were always showing us things we were interested in — and we didn’t even need to search for them. That was the main reason why they were so successful. Then we thought: why can’t we integrate this into a crowdfunding app? That’s how Fundamental was born.
What Is Fundamental?
Fundamental helps the right investors find the right projects to invest in. When you land on the starting page, you are greeted by an interest selection menu. In this menu, investors can select their interests from topics like technology, art, creativity, and photography. After this, you’re directed to the main menu where you see projects related to the topics you chose earlier. At the bottom, you can find different sections including Discover, Search, Create, and Profile.
How We Built It
We started by organizing our ideas in a digital mind map. We used Bolt for the main development. With the amazing capabilities of its AI-powered editor, it wasn’t hard for us to turn our dream into a functional app. We also got help from the tutorials on Bolt’s YouTube channel. We integrated Supabase, which helped us stay organized during tough times.
The Design Process
We had some uncertainty while designing the UI for our app. We had previously used other AI-powered code editors, and the experience wasn’t very smooth. We thought Bolt would be the same. But thanks to Bolt’s user-friendly interface and design, we didn’t face any problems.
We also had a lot of fun trying out different face filters during our video conferences.
What We Learned
We’ve learned a lot during this hackathon — including project management, using new AI tools, and how to deploy and maintain an application. We’re sure these skills are both important and useful for our future.
What's Next
As two young inventors, we want to continue developing this application and publish it when we’re ready. One day, we want to see our app become the industry standard. With the help of our platform, we want to support other creators like us.
