Inspiration

The stories and personas presented by Roche moved us and it was immediately clear to us that this would be the challenge we wanted to be part of, aiming to make a difference with our solution and better patient's lives everywhere.

What it does

We offer a simple, easy to use and even a little bit fun way to interact with PROMs. The basic idea is to present smaller sets of questions as opposed to burden the patient with a lengthy questionnaire every time. At the same time, information about the benefits of completing PROMs is presented from time to time, subtly nudging the patient to complete a greater part of the survey.

How we built it

We ate a lot of pizza.

Challenges we ran into

Learning about several new tech stacks and frameworks while aiming to provide for a working solution. Containing our many ideas and selecting just the best ones for the working prototype.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Helping patients the world over while at the same time mastering various new frameworks and having a lot of fun in the process.

What we learned

We can throw together a working app (both front- and backend) with a small team and little time!

What's next for Fun Prom

The potential is enormous and we would love to expand on our ideas and make a difference:

  • providing access to the answers, patient's habits and tendencies to ask for more or less questions to health care providers, so that they can improve questionnaires and increase the probability of patients completing PROMs
  • Improving on the experience for patients by tailoring type and number of questions presented to their specific circumstances, moods and needs
  • adding more gamification elements (e.g. offering meaningful rewards, for example by cooperating with companies like Lark)
