Inspiration
Always wanted to learn and create a working bot
What it does
it interacts with user by saying hello, goodbye, has a random number generator, and the game rock paper scissors.
How we built it
We listed all the things we wanted the bot to do and split the tasks between our members.
Challenges we ran into
Learning how to use the discord API and getting the front-end to work smoothly with the back-end was a difficult task. Also having too many ideas and not enough time to implement them. Trying to connect a database to keep track of the users and amount of money.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Getting some of our ideas working and the bot working. Using a CSV file to keep track of the users and amounts locally instead of using a database online because we were too inexperienced with databases
What we learned
Learned about using the discord API and a bit about databases in the process of trying to implement one.
What's next for Fun Discord Bot
Going to continue to add features and learn new things along the way
