Be The Chef

Inspiration

Inspired by companies like Uber and Airbnb I decided to create a site to join local chefs and hungry people.

What it does

It allows people to order food from local chefs, enabling people who want to make money by cooking have a place where to do it and help users find cheaper food by reducing costs of restaurants.

How I built it

I built it using the materialize framework, html/css and some javascript.

Challenges I ran into

I had some problems when implementing the navbar and the sidenav as the site was losing functionality when built.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I'm proud of the design, this is the first web project I have done and it looks clean, professional and good.

What I learned

I learned a ton about frontend development and the materialize framework.

What's next for Be The Chef

Start implementing the backend using the MEAN stack.
