Inspiration

Every time i leave my room lights on i got to listen a long(nice) talk from my mother about electricity, i know it's important. Anyways, i couldn't handle more. So i created a system to make that for me. Everyone lives happily after.

What it does

It uses simple schematics. The infrared sensor senses how many people are in the room and when it gets to zero Voila!! the light closes automatically.

How I built it

Very Basic hardware (have to make it cheap ;) ) The infrared sensors gets power and there code of command from adruino uno. the latter is coded in embedded c and thus works effortlessly.

Challenges I ran into

The main one was soldering, it's just so darn difficult.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I successfully without short circuiting my house wiring completed the project.

What I learned

Saving electricity is difficult.

What's next for Fully automatic light system integrated with person counter

An app would be nice idea so that i could open my air condition(so hot in asia) before reaching to my room.

Built With

  • adruino-uno
  • breadboard
  • embedded-c
  • infrared-sensor
  • led's
