Fuller is for people like me, who've tried counting calories and given up after a few weeks.

Nutrition & Healthy Eating: what it does

Start with a meal you already have, say pasta with tomato sauce. Fuller suggests foods to add from three groups: protein, fiber and healthy fat. Add cooked lentils and a drizzle of olive oil and that's all three, a full combo. Nothing is taken away, and there are no calories, grams or scores anywhere.

A food flying into its group's orb: guacamole lands in fiber and healthy fat at once, and the nuggets light up as a full combo

Tap a food and it flies into its group.

Tell it where you are and the ideas change. Eating out, pizza can take chicken or olives. On a family plate, those drop out and baby carrots come in. A burrito's black beans come with a tip: "Ask for them on the side."

Start with what you're eating: the home screen with recent foods, situations and cravings

A couple of hours after you save a meal, Fuller asks how full you feel. There's no right answer. Meals you mark content or still full collect under a Kept you full filter in your cookbook, so they're one tap away next time.

There's no right answer.

The check-in: how full did you feel?

The video shows situations at 0:27, the check-in at 1:14 and Pro at 1:42.

Inspiration

Counting calories became a chore. Set a goal, work out what to eat to hit it, type in the numbers from everything I bought. I'd do it for a few weeks and stop. What I actually notice is how full I am. So Fuller asks that, and gives me ideas for what to add to the meal I already have.

How I built it

I designed Fuller in Claude Design. I made wireframes first and iterated on them, trying different layouts until the whole flow worked. Then I moved on to the look and built a design system, so every screen stayed consistent. Fuller is one Expo and React Native codebase for iOS and Android, built with Claude Code and Codex.

My first Build screen was a list of foods under a triangle of the three groups. It worked, but it felt like admin. So I rebuilt it: tap a food and its picture flies into its group's orb in 680 ms, on the UI thread with Reanimated, and Skia draws the glowing lines between the lit orbs. RevenueCat runs Pro and the trial.

The app has no numbers about food. I kept diet and counting words like calorie, diet, cheat, guilt and streak out of every screen, and a test checks for them.

Challenges

Showing which foods went into which group. I wanted it to be visual, so I tried a few different layouts. In the end I went with three circles on a triangle, one for each group, with the dish in the middle, so you can watch each food land in its group.

Finding pictures for the foods. I looked through icon sets, but each one covered only some of the foods, and photos didn't work either. So I generated food stickers with AI from one style reference. They're consistent, they still read at small sizes, and I can add more in the same style.

Scope. I cut a share card, a daily reminder, a check-in history screen, and a new onboarding that's built but switched off, so I could ship a finished version.

What I learned

Which foods belong to which group. I learned a few myself while building the triangle, and that's part of why each food visibly lands in its group.

What's next

Now that it's on both stores, I want to see how people use Fuller, and add more dish packs.
