Inspiration
My inspiration was a simple line uttered by Adam Drummond. It was during the BlahajGang karaoke night, and Adam asked if anyone was going to make a soundboard out of this. I jumped at the opportunity, and after much coding and debugging, It was made.
What it does
Simply press a button and listen to the sound to get energized. There are a few easter eggs that you may need to find though! For a hint, just scroll down to see one! Don't tell anyone though 🤫
How we built it
I used Replit for this because I had only recently begun to use it. Additionally, I was only beginning to use HTML and CSS, so naturally, I incorporated the two along with Javascript.
Challenges we ran into
As I stated previously, I am one of the freshest beginners when it comes to Replit, HTML, and CSS, so finding out how to do things along the way provided a challenge. For example, the Not So Chill button occupied most of my time to make even though -now that I look back on it- it was easy.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I am proud of everything here. I really did miss the rush of finally getting your code to work. I am especially proud of the color-changing title! If you didn't notice already, it is in MLH colors.
What we learned
Honestly, I learned so much that I wouldn't be able to pinpoint the exact words to describe it. However, I can say with a confident stance that I know more in the area of HTML and CSS.
What's next for Memeboard
I think I'll try to add more easter eggs and meme songs. It's going to grow a lot with the more I learn and take in.
