Problem

Companies that work with electric vehicles do not have a streamlined process or the knowledge on how to recycle used electric vehicle batteries and how to get it to a recycling company efficiently.

Solution

To answer this problem, our solution is to create a web application that links the two parties (battery replacers and recyclers). The web application's goal is to help in three main ways. We plan to help by improving communication, management of inventory and transaction, and being able to track location of batteries and pickup orders.

Market Size

The market we are focusing on for this product consists of car dealerships - both used and new and recycling companies. Since there are many, more dealerships than EV battery recycling plants in the U.S, the numbers we found for our market size are based solely on the number of car dealerships. This means that the TAM would be upwards of 57 million dollars or more.

Competition

This problem is largely unaddressed, and there are no other products like ours currently on the market.

Business Model

Yearly subscription by dealerships: $360

Marketing and Sales

We will use direct marketing to recruit recyclers across the nation, then target dealerships in those areas by SEO, and email and content marketing.

Future Milestones

Our three big goals moving forward consist of refining the product, partnering with recyclers, and building a dealership customer base. In order to release our product to the market we still need to fix some things such as improving security and having a working database for our users. In order to have an effective business model we need recyclers to be using the software, making our next goal partnering with recycling companies. Lastly, we can start marketing to dealerships to create our initial customer base.
