Inspiration:
The inspiration for the Fukus app came from a personal struggle. I found it difficult to control the urges and distractions in my mind. Whenever I started working on something, my focus would quickly shift from one task to another. This constant mental diversion was affecting my productivity and peace of mind.I shared this problem with a friend, and to my surprise, he was facing the same issue. That conversation made me realize that this wasn't just my problem—it was something many people deal with. So, we both decided to start working on a solution together, which eventually led to the creation of Fukus.
What it does :
Fukus is a simple yet effective mental well-being tool designed to help users improve their focus and emotional balance. Here's how it works: The app starts by asking users a series of questions to understand their current mental state and lifestyle. Based on the answers, it builds a personalized meditation plan tailored to the user's needs. Users can then start a meditation timer, with the option to play calming background sounds. The goal is to help users build consistency and stay focused on one thing at a time. Over time, this practice supports better mental clarity, emotional stability, and overall well-being.
How we built it :
We used no-code tools to build the app, making development faster and more accessible. Throughout the process, we gathered feedback from our friends and the C-Web community to understand what features people would want in a mental wellness app.Based on their input, we included features like breathing exercises, meditation tracks, and other mindfulness tools to support users in managing their focus and emotional well-being.
Challenges we ran into :
The biggest challenge we faced was handling sound integration. Currently, the app supports only one sound, because uploading and streaming audio requires hosting it through live URLs. This was tricky since most reliable solutions—like using a Content Delivery Network (CDN)—are paid tools.
Accomplishments that we're proud of :
We are proud to have created a solution that goes beyond just helping ourselves—it’s designed to support everyone struggling with focus and mental distress.Fukus aims to be a tool for all those who find it difficult to concentrate or manage their emotional well-being. Our app can make a positive impact on countless lives, helping people achieve better mental clarity and peace, no matter where they are.
What we learned :
Throughout the journey of building Fukus, we learned a lot—not just about app development, but about collaboration, empathy, and problem-solving. Working as a team taught us the importance of listening to user feedback and adapting our ideas to better meet real needs. We discovered how powerful no-code tools can be in quickly bringing a concept to life, even when technical challenges arise—like handling sound integration. More importantly, we learned that creating a meaningful product requires patience and persistence, especially when tackling mental health and well-being.This project strengthened our belief that technology, when designed with care, can truly support people in improving their lives. We’re excited to keep learning and evolving as we work to make Fukus even better.
What's next for Fukus :
Next, we plan to enhance the app by adding various types of ambient sounds and a unique feature that allows users to remix these sounds to create their own personalized soundscapes.
We will also introduce beats at different frequencies (KHz) designed to promote deeper mind relaxation and focus.Additionally, we aim to implement premium features, such as access to a meditation coach and guided sessions, to offer users more personalized support on their wellness journey. Also as of now app is only optimised for laptop and tablet not for mobile phones in the next update we will solve this however app still opens in mobile but structure may be found not optimized These upcoming features will help us make Fukus a more comprehensive and effective tool for mental well-being.
