Inspiration:-

Managing a petrol pump involves juggling multiple tasks—tracking sales, monitoring fuel stock, and managing staff—often with pen and paper or outdated systems. We wanted to create a simple, modern, and accessible solution for petrol pump owners, especially in semi-urban and rural areas, to streamline their daily operations. The idea was born from observing the daily challenges faced by local pump owners and thinking, "Why not make their business management as easy as checking a smartphone app?"

What it does:-

FuelEase is a mobile and web application designed for petrol pump owners to: Record and monitor daily fuel sales in real time. Track fuel stock levels to avoid shortages. Manage staff performance and shift schedules. Get automated reports and insights for better decision-making. Access everything securely, anytime, anywhere, in English.

How we built it:-

We developed FuelEase using: Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (vanilla for the hackathon rules). Backend: Node.js with Express.js for APIs. Database: MongoDB for scalable and secure data storage. Authentication: JWT-based secure login. Deployment: Render (Backend) + Netlify (Frontend). The UI was designed to be minimal, mobile-friendly, and easy for non-technical users.

Challenges we ran into:-

Creating a fully functional app with only vanilla JS for the frontend within limited time. Ensuring data security for sensitive sales and stock records. Designing a simple UI that works well for all age groups. Handling real-time updates with minimal server load.

Accomplishments that we're proud of:-

Built a cross-platform solution that works on both mobile and web. Implemented real-time sales and stock tracking with minimal resources. Created an intuitive UI with zero learning curve for first-time users. Completed the core features within the tight deadline.

What we learned:-

How to optimize vanilla JavaScript for dynamic, real-time features. The importance of user-centric design for adoption in small businesses. Techniques for secure, scalable API design with limited tools. Balancing speed and accuracy when dealing with business-critical data.

What's next for FuelEase:-

Add multi-language support for wider adoption. Implement AI-driven sales predictions. Integrate QR-based digital payment tracking.
