Inspiration

After 8 years working with data and with advent of AI Agents, we realized that nearly every task database admins and engineers handle daily could be easily automated. Not only it will make the whole ecosystem robust and faster, it will also eliminate the fragmented work flows and inter dependencies among various teams.

What it does

Gyrus solves this by introducing an AI Agent Platform purpose-built for data warehouse operations. Its intelligent bot, Frosty, automates the entire data lifecycle—from creation and governance to deployment and optimization—through natural language interaction. By eliminating manual coding, pipeline management, and tribal knowledge, Gyrus enables enterprises to build and operate production-grade data ecosystems in minutes instead of days. The result: reduced operational overhead, faster time to insights, and a more accessible, AI-powered Snowflake experience.

How we built it

Gyrus integrates directly with Snowflake as an agentic AI layer that acts as a virtual Data Engineer and Admin. The system uses a task-oriented AI model optimized for structured operations—eliminating hallucination risk—and orchestrates workflows through AWS Bedrock agents. Frosty automates DDL/DML creation, privilege grants, masking policy enforcement, and deployment workflows without external CI/CD pipelines. Since Frosty independently builds your infrastructure, there’s no need for Terraform scripts or manual release pipelines. Every action it performs in lower environments is tracked with a deterministic algorithm developed by Gyrus - no drift, no surprises, and no hallucinations.

Challenges we ran into

With so many objects possible to create on snowflake, and so many configurations for each one of them how to stop the bot from hallucinating.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Built a framework in such a creative way that it can make LLMs hallucination proof and takes off the burden of managing data warehouse from humans, and remove the unnecessary workflows. Not only does it make the data eco system efficient, it also makes it more robust, and less fragmented.

What we learned

No problem is big enough if you really want to solve it.

Expand its capabilities to work with all data silos, creating a single intelligent system that lets enterprises manage their data more efficiently and reduce fragmented infrastructure.
