Inspiration
Inspired by a letter sent to my dad, inquiring about donations to the University he graduated from. I started really thinking about all the experiences in my degree, and I concluded that I have made great friends and am studying a field I am truly passionate about. I wanted to try and help give the gift of post-secondary education to other people who may not be able to afford a degree.
What it does
Gives alumni the opportunity to search for and find a particular student, or a set of students who would like to attend the University the alumni graduated from, but need help. Provides a quick and easy platform for alumni to donate to students who need financial assistance in order to attend University or College.
How we built it
The tech stack includes using Next.js, MongoDB, and Postman.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
This was my first time ever building a website. I accomplished more this weekend then I was anticipating, and I am excited to share my design.
What we learned
I learned how to use Next.js to quickly start a web application. I learned the difference between user authorization and user authentication and how one may test a webpage locally. Additionally, I learned how to connect my new MongoDB collection to my web app.
