Frontier is a deal-screening tool for VCs and accelerators that helps reviewers evaluate deep-tech applications in fields they don't personally know well. The problem: top accelerators get tens of thousands of applications a batch, each skimmed in about a minute, and the reviewer reading a quantum or fusion or materials pitch usually isn't a physicist. They can't easily tell a real breakthrough from a hyped one — and neither can a general AI tool, because those are trained on the same press releases. What Frontier does: it pulls in the full inbound batch, narrows it down to the deals that fit the fund's thesis (e.g. from all sectors → deep tech → quantum computing), and then sits beside the reviewer on each application. For every pitch it checks the core scientific claim against the live research record and against what happened to earlier startups that pitched the same thesis. It flags two things a reviewer would otherwise miss: the oversell (a claim that sounds like a breakthrough but is actually disputed in the literature) and the undersell (a modest-looking pitch the research suggests is sitting on something big).at we're proud of
