Inspiration

The idea behind From Mountains to Markets: Real Travel Moments started with a passion for exploring places beyond typical tourist spots. Traveling through mountains, walking in local markets, and capturing real-life moments made me want to build something that reflects honest travel experiences.

What it does

This project is a travel website that shares real stories, destinations, and local experiences. It helps people discover places in a simple way, with a focus on culture, photography, and hidden gems instead of just popular attractions.

How I built it

I built this project using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, focusing on a clean and responsive design. The goal was to keep navigation smooth and content easy to explore on both desktop and mobile devices.

Challenges I ran into

One challenge was managing content and images without making the site slow. Another was keeping the design simple while still making it visually appealing. Making everything responsive across devices also required careful adjustments.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I’m proud of creating a platform that feels real and personal. The site is easy to use, visually clean, and focused on meaningful travel storytelling. One of the highlights is adding real destination content like this:
Explore McLeod Ganj

What I learned

I learned how to structure a website properly, improve user experience, and keep things simple yet effective. I also gained a better understanding of responsive design and content presentation.

What's next for From Mountains to Markets: Real Travel Moments

Next, I plan to add more destinations, improve visuals, and include features like travel guides, budget tips, and interactive maps. The goal is to make the platform more helpful and engaging for travelers.
