Inspiration
We got this idea when trying to think of a way to stop bad habits. We then expanded it to include goals and general motivation.
What it does
From Me to You allows users to check-in daily as a commitment, send letters to future them, and connect with users pushing past the same struggle or goal. The purpose is to make sure users don't feel alone through harsh times.
How we built it
We built our website atop HTML, JS, CSS, and the firebase api.
Challenges we ran into
We faced many issues with firebase api, with the biggest one being setting up authentication. Once we got that straightened, our only other issues came from merge conflicts on github.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are very proud to have built this platform, and especially proud of our 'to me' page.
What we learned
We learned connecting and retrieving from firestore, authenticating with firebase, and most importantly to take breaks when needed too.
