My app is like bumble but for post grad depression, after graduating not a lot know what to do and now you have the power to link up with someone in a similar situation or just meet new people

Inspiration- I have a couple friends that already graduated and they mentioned the fact that they have no idea what to do at this point. You wake up one day at a random time on a random day and go to class for an hour then all of a sudden you're done with college. 4 use of schooling ends in a blink of an eye and now people have no idea where to go from here especially in this economy. I want to make something where others can't meet people in similar situations instead of liked endure and bumble where you're just swiping for relationships. People want friends more than relationships especially if they get older wears harder to make them and I'm hoping to make it easier

What it does- current is a completed by the plan is to register like any other app and write your interests/goals/anything you want to share

How I built it- I built it using mySQL as the database, Tkinter (to get a starter UI), and Python as the main language

Challanges- A massive challenge I ran into was hashing passwords. There were so many times where the username and password wouldn't work properly and it was because when someone registered an account, the password wasn't hashed properly and wouldnt let me login to see dashboard

Accomplishments- I'm proud to say that the database works properly and actually stores all the login information for users. This was the biggest hurdle and it ended up working regardless of all the issues

Learned- I learned about hashing passwords and that everything needs to be very similar when it comes to user account related issues. Not having one thing exactly like the rest of the code wouldnt let users login and connect with others

What's next- in going to continue working in this idea because I believe that it could actually end up being something really useful. There's plenty of apps when it comes to finding relationships but no app really gets the friendship part down which is something everyone needs
