Inspiration
We wanted a way let friends gift money to their friends in a fun way and destigmatize asking for money. Asking for favors is a burden on some people, but with friendmo people just send money without expecting anything in return! This app also tackles the issue of income inequality, especially with freelancers, students, and others without stable income sources who could greatly benefit from the generosity of their friends.
What it does
This web app functions the same as Venmo, but instead of sending money you send funny/cute gifts based on the budget you enter.
How we built it
This was built with Python/Flask for the backend, Firebase for the database, and HTML/CSS and Bootstrap for the frontend.
