Inspiration

Our Inspiration came from modern websites with User-Friendly interface to make the process of buying something on web easy.

What it does

It presents the Information of Disability Insurance and Term Life Insurance in more creative and User friendly way.

How we built it

  1. Backend on Java Springboot
  2. frontend on HTML, CSS and javascricpt(Bootstrap)
  3. Database on cockroachDb
  4. Twilio's Api's

Challenges we ran into

  1. Environment setting of coackroachDb.
  2. Set up of Twilio email APIs.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  1. Integrating all the front-end and back-end elements to complete the Web-App in provided time.
  2. Thinking of creative ways to present content to our users.

What we learned

  1. Working out a well built project in a time crunch (i.e a lot of time-management)
  2. TeamWork!

What's next for FriendlyNeighbor

  1. Expand it to other Insurance types (such as small business insurance)
  2. Hosting it online.
