Inspiration
Wanted to learn more about smart contracts and also about developing a discord bot
What it does
Using Discord bot commands, two parties can enter into a friendly wager about an asset price at a future date.
How we built it
heavily based on the chainlink brownie mix example/template
Challenges we ran into
i expected the smart contracts system would have a native scheduling system to move the contract along by itself, but it doesnt look like this is the case
Accomplishments that we're proud of
base case of a smart contract deployed & funded by the bot is working
What we learned
learned about gas fees and web3,brownie python libs etc.
What's next for Friendly Wager Discord Bot
- add more data feed integrations
- maybe add wallet/custodial features to bot for users who dont have metamask etc.
