Friender

Inspiration

We know that many people feel lonely during the pandemic, and we want to develop an app that helps people make friends and stay connected.

What it does

Friender asks for people's name, age, hobbies, occupation, and quantities they look for in a friendship and provides the users the best matches. Users can choose to reach out to their top matches and start a conversation on Friender.

How I built it

We used Java on Android Studios to build our App and create our main pages.

Challenges I ran into

We had to learn how to use Android Studio because we had no previous experience in building an App.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Our team managed to create a functioning app and learn a new skill.

What I learned

We learned how to work with each other and tackle a complicated problem.

What's next for Friender

We want to build the same App as a webapp instead of just for Android users.
