We're Team Friendbeast. We've got Cosmina Busaga on front-end development & design, Tak Tran on back-end development, & Jessi Tabalba acting as UX designer & illustrator.
We decided to build something that we'd like to use - something that's simple, fun and intuitive that feels less like homework and more like play or craft. Taking our inspiration from children's books and animated films (as well as current innovations in emotive design) we've turned a survey for patients into an interactive narrative.
Answers to survey questions on understanding what's going on, expressing feelings, things to do, food and environment become Friendbeast's head, hear, arms, legs and tum. The data collected is stored and displayed conventionally, but each child's Friendbeast is their creation.
