It uses web scrapping to search for pets that can be addopted
How we built it
We created an API that grabs all the information from four websites and from our own servers and creates a json respond that can be readed from our website and our app
The website is a simple json reading with some table arrengements The App is a native android application that gets the information from the API and arrange it to a good looking view
Challenges we ran into
It doesn't exist an API to grab information for pets in adoption
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The creation of the API that reads the websites by web scrapping to get the needed information
What we learned
How to work in team with limit time pressure and learn how to make web scrapping and native application
What's next for Friend4me
Implement it with more websites and make it grow, so the pet adoption can grow in Mexico
