Inspiration
As a tech user, discovering answers to questions related to problems can be challenging—even when they are available online. The process of locating these answers can be arduous. That’s why we created a solution to simplify this experience
What it does
Instant Answers:
Users can ask questions related to their college, field of interest, or any topic (as customised). ForumBot fetches responses from reliable sources using OpenAI API. If an answer exists online, it provides it promptly.
Community-Driven Knowledge Base:
When no online response is found, ForumBot takes proactive action. It posts the unanswered question to a community forum accessible by other users. Verified users (with organization email addresses) can contribute their insights.
Adaptability and Personalization:
It can be integrated into any web application across various domains. Devolepers can personalize it to suit their specific needs.
How we built it
We’ve built an intuitive and user-friendly interface using Streamlit. Community forum section retrieves data from MongoDB Atlas We've used OpenAI API to generate accurate and context-aware answers
Challenges we ran into
As we are new to work with databases, we encountered some challenges. The unfamiliar terrain led us to explore and learn, but it wasn’t without its share of struggles. However, our determination pushed us forward, and we’re excited to share our progress
