What FreshIQ actually does

  • Super easy Grocery Logging: You don't have to type out every single item you buy. Just click a picture of your grocery haul or receipt, and the app automatically identifies the items and sorts them into the right spots (like putting milk in the Fridge and rice in the Pantry) for you.
  • Import Recipes with a Link: Whenever you see a cool recipe on a website or social media, just paste the link into the app. It clears out all the ads and life stories, saving just the ingredients and the step-by-step instructions into your personal digital cookbook.
  • Know what you can cook right now: The app looks at what's currently in your kitchen and checks it against your saved recipes. It tells you exactly which meals you can make immediately and which ones are just missing one or two items, so you never have to guess "what's for dinner" again.
  • Shopping Lists that make sense: If you pick a recipe but you're missing the eggs or cheese, the app automatically adds those specific items to your shopping list. When you're at the store, everything is grouped together so you can get in and out quickly.
  • Kitchen Cleanup & Expiry: It keeps an eye on your stuff so you don't find a science experiment in the back of your fridge three months later. You get a clear view of what needs to be used up first, which saves you a lot of money on wasted groceries.

Why I built this

I was tired of two things: staring at a full fridge and feeling like there was "nothing to eat," and having 50 browser tabs open for recipes I'd eventually forget.

I wanted a way to connect the infinite ideas on the internet with the actual physical food sitting in my house. FreshIQ is basically just the brain my kitchen was missing.
