Inspiration
We were inspired by our own experiences as college students. At our school, we found it difficult to look for opportunities to develop our skills, network, and so on.
What it does
Here, we built an AI-powered roadmap app that takes in information provided by the user (college campus, goals, etc.) and an AI agent will analyze it and create a personalized roadmap for the student to use as a guide. They can edit the roadmap if they wish.
How we built it
We used ChatGPT and Claude to create the codebase (both frontend and backend). Frontend uses commonjs. For our AI agent, we used Google Gemini, and for the backend, we used backboard to handle context for the AI agent, and tiger data to store data such as to-do list data.
Challenges we ran into
API rate limits were an issue, along with getting the domain together.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are most proud of being able to integrate AI analysis into the app.
What we learned
We learned how to use git, figuring the scope of a project, and how to use AI to generate your code.
