Inspiration

Organic food or fruits/vegetables are rarely available in the market, real organic fruits/vegetables is difficult to find. Conventional fruits/vegetables is easy to buy anywhere but it often sprayed with pesticides and harmful chemicals. This fruits/vegetables are genetically modified & causes so many health problems. Food is main source of thing in people's lifestyle & for healthy lifestyle this small change can increase people's immunity and help them to live a healthy life ahead. Through this concept I get inspiration of developing this project.

What it does

Fresh Fields is a web application more like an ecommerce website, user can easily sign in and login, user can view overall details of a product, user can go through cart, checkout, & contact page. You can order authentic organic fruits/vegetables directly from farm in other words from organic fruits/vegetables producers/farmmers. User can place order from anywhere, contact is 24/7 availabe.Admin can add products effortlessly by using id & password. User's data security guarantee, most secure database software is used to store user's data. Admin can view user's information to proceed the order. This system can accommodate huge amount of orders at a time. This system can evaluate its performance and acceptability in terms of security, user-friendliness, accuracy and reliability. Reduce time of outdoor ordering.Farmers can sells their goods through this system to various localities and can get a good sum of price.Customers can get fresh and quality organic food direct from farm in no time.

How I built it

Python programming language, Django framework, PostgresSQL database, for frontend HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, & Javascript are used to built this project. Since this my first time working with python and django, I did research & study python, django in detail to understand the concepts. I go through a lot of resources on internet to study regarding concepts of python and django to built this project. I have learned quit more about python and django while working on this project. It's my first time to built a website so small to large things and concepts which I gone through is more learnable.

Challenges I ran into

While working on this project I ran into various challenges to load & display static files on server, connecting database to website, rendering contact, checkout pages in website, building signin and login page & store this data in database, to create function of this username is taken, etc. But after getting the solution you realise that hardwork pays off.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

The big accomplishment is that people can get authentic fruits/vegetables without using of pesticides and harmful chemicals. People can consume real organic fruits/vegetables & live healthy lifestyle for their better tomorrow. The difficulty of searching organic fruits/vegetables outdoor will be gone. On one click of button user can get organic fruits/vegetables at their doorstep. And most important they can imporve their health by making this small change in their lifestyle.

What I learned

I have learned a lot during this process of making website about databases, python functions in detail, whole concepts of django and lot more. I make small mistakes that I thought was big eg: forget to mention path urls, to render html templates. But until you figure out things you realise this are silly mistakes. You can get frustrated and upset but after getting solution of your problems you realise practice makes man perfect. And most important thing I learned while building this project is that not to give up in any situation. You have to stay focused and motivated to get a satisfying outcome.

What's next for Fresh Fields

Fresh Fields will have more features like e-payment method user can make payment directly after ordering, we can do this using API's and other functions. Also can track your order, contact with dilevery-man to receive your order, View dilevery-man's information/contact details, etc.
