Inspiration

Leveraging technology to promote a sustainable lifestyle.

What it does

Its an online marketplace that allows farmers and farmers markets to sell online. Customers can see what is locally sourced and order available products. Included on the website is a recipe section that checks what local vendors are selling and uses an API to generate recipes to incentivize customers to buy local goods to make meals.

How we built it

Through the use of Docker - to ensure a common virtual OS for development - we created a website with React which allowed us to use a mix of css, js, python, and html.

Challenges we ran into

Initial setup of Docker and getting the whole team on the same page to start creating had to be the roughest part of the development.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We managed to properly implement two APIs and build a website (a new accomplishment for two of us at least).

What we learned

Learned how to startup a website and different tools to aid in that development.

What's next for Fresh Farm - Untitled Teamname

A proper implementation of the buy menu to purchase products from each vendor. Profile and store pages for users and sellers to view more information.
