Inspiration

Due to the pandemic, students are stranded at home, away from college. But no college doesn't mean no learning, right? Introducing Freelancing Radiant, bringing the education right at your fingertips

What it does

Freelancing radiant is an education centered freelancing website, which connects students to skilled teachers to enhance their skills. Students can get online classes according to their schedule and can choose from a variety of subjects and teachers.

How I built it

We used ReactJS in the front end and firebase for hosting the website. We used firebase so we can utilize Google's scaling techniques and could focus more on enhancing the user experience.

Challenges I ran into

Not having prior knowledge of databases was a hurdle, but we were able to face it, thanks to the youtube tutorials and the official firebase documentation.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

This was my first hackathon (and Dhruv's third). We learned a lot about how the back-end works. Also, this was my first Web Development project, and it turned out to be great.

What I learned

I've learned a great deal about React and web development technologies. Dhruv learned about React too, but he found his way around, as he was already well versed in Angular.

What's next for Freelance Radiant

We'll be working on the features like Profiles for both teachers and students, make the back-end more robust and possibly add some recommendation system which is my area of expertise.
