Here is the story: A huge shitstorm just went down on Earth. Nuclear bombs, nuclear winter and all that shit. Don’t even get me started on global warming… … and coronavirus … and Donald Trump … and coconuts. I actually like coconuts. Do you? [YES] // [ NO]

Due to the effect of the use of nuclear weapons, at least half of the population mutated into brainless I-want-to-eat-you-cus-im-stupid zombie-like creatures. You cannot change this fact. What you can do, however, is – you guessed it – survive.

Inspiration

Philosophy of Nietzsche.

What it does

Text-based, post-apocalyptic zombie shooter first person adventure game.

How we built it

Unity, C# and lots of coffee.

Challenges we ran into

Had to learn Unity on the go.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Game actually works and the story line is amazing.

What we learned

No matter how hard you try, you will not go anywhere near your goal without coconuts and caffeine.

What's next for Freeadvent

Fix major bugs, add new features and maps. Add new story lines. Implement current text-based story line. Publish on itch.io.

Ending

Let’s be terribly honest with ourselves: we are basically floating in empty space on an insignificant piece of rock full of brain dead zombies and we already died a few times. Considering this, what the hell should be the outcome of an adventure like this?

  • [1] Killing our way through thousands of zombies to find a secret key in a secret chamber that is in an even more secret chamber just to figure out that there is no door on this island to use the key, becoming depressed by this fact and killing ourselves.
  • [2] There is no hope, everyone died who once loved us, who we once loved, the Earth is dead, we are stuck in this hell. Becoming depressed, and you know the rest…
  • [3] Actually finding pleasure in killing zombies and doing it for eternity.
  • [4] Coconuts.
