About the Project
Why I Made This
I got tired of testing my code patterns on different websites all the time. It was annoying and slow. So I thought, why not make my own tool that's super simple to use?
What I Learned
This project taught me:
- How to make things work better
- How to keep websites simple and clean
- How to handle user input without breaking things
- Why it's good to show results right away
How I Built It
First, I drew what I wanted it to look like on paper. Then I:
- Made the basic boxes where you type stuff
- Added checkboxes for different options
- Made the results show up clearly
- Made everything work as soon as you type
- Put in some examples so people know what to do
Problems I Had
The hardest part was making sure everything worked right with all the different settings. I also wanted to make it so easy that anyone could use it without help.
I also had trouble making the highlighted text look good. I tried many different ways before I found one that worked well.
What I Want to Do Next
I want to add more examples and maybe explain what all the symbols mean in simple words. It would be cool to have a feature that tells you what your pattern does in normal English.
