Inspiration
After trying to get through a single day of work and still be able to send a text while on something important used to be a big pain to do, after realizing the capabilities the Amazon Echo had with SMS texting it became apparent on was needed.
What it does
Alexa listens for certain keywords that will then change the words from speech to text which will then be inputted in online and sent via. Sms to your phone.
How I built it
Challenges I ran into
- Twilio module did not install
- Node.js module did not want to install
- Twilio's only text verified number policy
- Break command in javascript
- False error message
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
- I learned a lot of javascript in one weekend
- A working design in only a weekend
