Inspiration
What inspired me to create this was not an artistic idea, nor a commission, nor a distant story. It was seeing, day after day, all the horrible news coming in on the internet. Children under rubble. Families fleeing. Bombed hospitals. And meanwhile, the world looking the other way. What drove me was the anger of seeing how no government was doing anything to stop the suffering of the Palestinian people.
This work is my way of not remaining silent.
What it does
This work is a denunciation.
A denunciation of the ongoing genocide in Gaza. A denunciation of the systematic destruction of a people under military siege. A denunciation of the permissiveness of the Israeli state, which continues to act with total impunity, defying international law and basic human dignity.
But also, and just as urgently, it is a denunciation of the passivity of the international community. Of the silence of governments. Of the complicity disguised as neutrality.
This is not a neutral piece. It was never meant to be. Its purpose is to disturb, to inform, and to push back against indifference. Because when the world stays silent, art must speak louder.
How we built it
This audiovisual piece was entirely created using a combination of generative AI technologies. Each element was carefully developed with the goal of amplifying a message that traditional media too often buries: the ongoing suffering of the Palestinian people and the silence of the world in the face of injustice.
The script was developed with ChatGPT, where I explored structure, tone, voice-over and testimonial-style dialogues to shape a narrative that is both informative and emotionally direct.
The still images were created with MidJourney, using detailed prompts to reflect the atmosphere of displacement, resistance and memory. Every frame seeks to evoke the human side of a historical and political tragedy.
The animated sequences were generated using Kling and Higgsfield, combining realism with controlled camera movements to simulate the documentary aesthetic. The goal was to create the feeling of witnessing something real, close and painful.
The music was composed with Suno, blending traditional Middle Eastern instrumentation with cinematic textures to reinforce the emotional weight of each scene.
Voices and ambient sound effects were produced using ElevenLabs. This allowed for the inclusion of realistic testimonies, background tension, and emotional resonance, all aligned with the visual narrative.
Each of these tools contributed to a single purpose: to document, to denounce, and to resist forgetting.
This is not just an AI experiment — it is a political act made possible by technology.
Challenges we ran into
ne of the greatest challenges behind this piece was telling the story from the inside — as if I were there.
Because that’s exactly the point: no one is allowed to show what’s really happening.
Journalists are blocked. Cameras are banned. Humanitarian workers are silenced. There is a deliberate effort to erase the truth, to bury the evidence under rubble and propaganda.
That’s why this project doesn’t try to speak from the outside. It imagines the unspeakable, visualizes what we are not allowed to see, and gives voice to those who are being silenced.
When information is blocked, storytelling becomes resistance.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
What I feel most proud of is not the technical process or the creative challenge. It’s the response this project has received across social media. The messages, the shares, the people who took a moment to stop and feel — to care.
In a time where silence is easier, every person who reacts, reposts, or simply refuses to look away is part of the resistance.
This piece is just a small gesture. But if it helped even a little to raise awareness, to spark conversation, or to make someone think twice — then I know I’ve done my part, however small, to stand against this genocide and on the side of justice.
What we learned
What I’ve learned through this process is simple but powerful: It’s now easier than ever to denounce injustice. No matter where you are. No matter how far you feel from what's happening. What truly matters is what you want to say — and the courage to say it.
With the tools we have today, storytelling is no longer limited by borders, access, or permission. We may not be on the ground, but we are not voiceless. We can amplify what others try to silence. We can turn images and words into acts of resistance.
And that, in itself, is hope.
What's next for Free
What I truly hope comes next is simple: That this genocide ends. That the killing stops, the siege is lifted, and justice is no longer postponed.
And that this video — this act of denunciation — never needs to exist again.
Because no one should have to imagine what’s happening just to make others care. Because the truth should not need to be reconstructed through silence and ruins.
My greatest wish is that this piece becomes a memory of a time we swore never to repeat.
