What is this?
This is my personal website that I built as a rising junior in 2017. At the time, I was a fresh web developer. I was extremely interested in pursuing a career in UI/UX design and development, and I thought that it would extremely fitting to have my own custom-built website.
I scaffolded the site using Ruby on Rails and jQuery. Everything else was custom built and designed by me, including:
- Fun homepage interactions/animations
- Project tag system
- Project media system (playable videos, images, etc)
- Mobile responsiveness
What's wrong with it?
I have since deprecated this website, since I no longer believe that it accurately reflects my experiences as a developer. My frontend skills have matured greatly in terms of both tooling and design ideologies.
Additionally, I have learned that custom solutions do not mean everything. Devpost has been a wonderful platform for showcasing my projects. It is great in terms of maintainability and design. However, if you are interested in seeing the old website anyway, please follow the link :)
Thanks for reading.
