FrameLock AI
FrameLock AI is a continuity-first AI filmmaking workflow app for creators who want to turn story ideas into consistent cinematic video generations.
The inspiration came from a common problem in AI filmmaking: every generated shot can look beautiful, but characters, locations, costumes, lighting, and story continuity often drift between shots. Filmmakers need more than a prompt box — they need a workflow that remembers the creative rules of the project.
FrameLock AI helps creators plan a film project in structured layers:
- Projects
- Characters
- Locations
- Scenes
- Shots
- Continuity rules
- Prompt packages
- Cinematic video generations
- Video library and admin monitoring
One of the core features is the reference-fusion workflow. A user can add character and location reference images, and FrameLock AI prepares a composed cinematic reference frame before generating the final video. This helps guide the video generation with stronger visual consistency instead of relying only on text prompts.
During the build, I learned a lot about designing AI workflows that are not just creative, but also practical for real users. I had to think about prompt structure, reference image handling, queue states, generation status updates, user access, error handling, media storage, and how to make the experience feel smooth for filmmakers.
The biggest challenge was maintaining consistency across the generation pipeline. Multi-reference character and location workflows are not as simple as sending many images directly into video generation, so I built a flow that first composes a cinematic reference frame and then uses that frame to guide the final video. I also worked through API limits, prompt length limits, safety errors, loading states, and frontend UX details.
FrameLock AI is built as a polished filmmaking workspace, not just a generation button. The goal is to help creators move from idea → organized project → consistent prompt package → cinematic generated video.
