Inspiration

As I have been talking to others in the Horizon Worlds community (many great players), I heard many players hoping for more verity. Super rumble is the primary game I play and many others, so lots of the requests were different shooting modes and features.

What it does

Fractured (Party Games) is a hang out spot, and a place to battle friends.

How we built it

Used blender for designing 3D models, affinity designer for 2D art, google Gemini for concept art (and poster in the lobby, profile image of world), used Horizon Worlds public assets (very helpful).

Challenges we ran into

It was a challenge to a get 3D models looking nice in Horizon Worlds.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am pretty happy with my 3D models, I was able to use baked textures with unlit material. My next one would be software design I implemented, it is very dynamic and extendable allowing for many modes and features to be added.

What we learned

There was a lot to learn, from 3D design, 2D design (UI), and programming (Horizon Worlds api). I first started with codeblocks, but was so glad when I was able to use TypeScript. Some of the hardest things was trying to get 3D models to look good in horizon. But the most important thing learned was take one step at a time, don't think of what you want at the finish line, look at what we need to do today (easy to get overwhelmed). Stay positive and move forward, you will get it done.

What's next for Fractured (Party Games)

Fractured (Party Games) has many updates planned, it was created in the focus to be dynamic, so creating on top of it is very easy, the hard part was getting the first part done. So that is a positive.
