Inspiration
FRACTURE POINT was inspired by portal-based puzzle games and the idea of manipulating space to solve problems. We wanted to create a simple but engaging single-player experience where players have to think creatively rather than simply move through a level.
What it does
FRACTURE POINT is a single-player sci-fi puzzle game where players use portals, movement, timing, and environmental interactions to solve challenging test chambers and reach the exit.
How we built it
We built FRACTURE POINT as a browser-based game, focusing on interactive puzzle mechanics, player movement, portal-based navigation, level design, and a futuristic test-chamber environment.
Challenges we ran into
One of our biggest challenges was making the portal mechanics feel natural and ensuring that movement, collisions, and interactions worked correctly. Designing puzzles that were challenging without becoming frustrating was another important challenge.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of creating a complete playable single-player puzzle experience with our own game identity, FRACTURE POINT. We especially enjoyed bringing portal-based mechanics and puzzle-solving together into a compact sci-fi environment.
What we learned
Through this project, we learned more about game mechanics, level design, player interaction, physics-based puzzles, debugging, and how small gameplay details can significantly affect the overall player experience.
What's next for FRACTURE POINT
We plan to expand FRACTURE POINT with more levels, increasingly complex puzzles, new mechanics, improved visuals, sound effects, and a stronger progression system to make the experience more immersive and challenging.
