Accounting Hackathon Challenge App
** What inspired us?**
The accounting sector is now facing a revolution with the arrival of the latest technology. Many manual or repetitive tasks will be replaced by technology such as automation, IA, machine learning and blockchain in the future. We were inspired by the rise of the technological applications which can help to convert or summarise millions of information for the accountants. It can also be useful as an interactive tool for learning process.
How we built it?
We have used web tools such as easypromos to built the Accounting Hackathon Challenge App with the input of HTML and CSS. We have also used our design skills to build this app.
Challenges we faced to produce a prototype?
We had a challenge in gathering more resources such as IT professional to design an app that is useful for small companies out there in the industry. We had to hurry to research and create the app due to time constraint. We had difficulties when testing the app as there were times our prototype failed due to wrong codes that we used.
What we learned?
Through the Accounting Innovation Challenge (AIC), we have been exposed well to the seminar and learnt things such as how technology is disrupting businesses, how data is been fuelled, how drone technology collects data efficiently, how does Blockchain protect data transfer and robotic automatic process. With the knowledge gained, we are now able to apply them in our future projects. Not only that, we have learnt to work in a team with people with different skills and talents as well as to adapt to the environment.
