Inspiration: To help benefit foster students in higher education which changes their lives for better and can change them into stronger individuals and build supportive families.
What it does: Mobile app that gives access to scholarships, education, connections, process of applying to colleges, and connections through Facebook as well.
How I built it: We used the MIT APP inventor 2,
Challenges I ran into: None of us used this prior to this date, and had to learn it today.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of: We all learned a new environment today
What I learned: We learned more details on the struggle of foster youth. While at the same time learning the new app environment
What's next for Foster to Future: Better aesthetics for the app and more fluid design and usage. We would also like to incorporate a social media aspect to our app, adding the experiences of foster kids who made it to college in order to provide examples for the users of the app.
