🛠️ About the Project

👋 What Inspired Me

I’ve been working on saas service-based businesses apps for almost 13 years (never finished ).
during this time i've spend a lot of time see the innner working of mulipte service bay business form local tradies to national franchises, one thing’s always stood out: manual systems slow everything down.

I’ve always loved optimising workflows — especially where there's friction in quoting, booking, and getting paid.
This project was born from that passion: make service bookings as fast and smooth as ordering takeout.

🚀 What I Learned

• How to build fast — Bolt.new made it possible to go from idea to product in days, not months.
• Don't leave things to the last minute — Speed is great, but planning is better. I pushed too much to the final hours and paid for it in late nights.

🧱 How I Built It

• Builder: Bolt.new – 99% of the app scaffolding and logic
  
• AI Touchups: Claude – for refining logic and copy
  
• Email: Postmark – fast, reliable transactional email
  
• Payments: Stripe Connect – to handle customer payments and payouts
  
• Backend & Auth: Supabase – for authentication, RLS, bookings database, and revenue tracking

Formweave lets service-based businesses build smart, AI-driven quote and booking forms — no code required.
Customers can:

1. Answer tailored questions that affect price and time
   
2. Book in real-time based on live availability
   
3. Pay securely via Stripe
   
4. Receive instant confirmation and reminders

Businesses can:

• Create service-specific forms with pricing logic
  
• Define service zones and check address eligibility
  
• Manage all bookings and revenue in one dashboard
  

It’s like turning your booking process into a smooth checkout experience — just like ordering takeout.

⚠️ The Biggest Challenge

Starting too late.
I had the idea and domain ready weeks in advance, but didn’t fully commit until the deadline loomed.

The takeaway?
If you know it’s a good idea — start now. Time compounds, especially in software.
