Inspiration

ForgeAI was inspired by a personal and shared challenge among many young people: navigating career decisions in an environment filled with uncertainty, fragmented information, and limited access to guidance. As a youth with a background in technology and community engagement, I experienced firsthand how difficult it is to align skills, opportunities, and long-term goals without clear direction or mentorship. ForgeAI was born from the desire to transform confusion into clarity using AI as an equalizer.

What it does

ForgeAI is an AI-powered youth career intelligence platform that helps users forge personalized career roadmaps. It analyzes users’ interests, skills, and goals to generate structured pathways, matches them with relevant opportunities, optimizes CVs for ATS systems, and introduces mentorship pathways. The platform stores user journeys over time, making career development continuous rather than a one-time interaction.

How we built it

ForgeAI was built using Google AI Studio with Gemini 3 as the core intelligence engine. We designed structured prompt flows to guide users through career discovery, roadmap generation, opportunity eligibility analysis, and CV optimization. Role-based authentication, user persistence, admin governance, and feedback loops were integrated to simulate a real-world, scalable platform experience.

Challenges we ran into

One major challenge was balancing feature depth with clarity ensuring the app felt powerful without overwhelming users or judges. Another challenge was designing mentor and admin systems that feel realistic and trustworthy, even without live mentors. Ensuring continuity, UX polish, and explainable AI outputs required several iterations.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

i am proud of building a platform that feels like a real product, not just a hackathon demo. ForgeAI supports long-term user journeys, includes governance through admin dashboards, integrates feedback loops, and presents AI outputs in a human, explainable way. Most importantly, it addresses a real and urgent youth challenge.

What we learned

I learned that impactful AI products are not just about intelligence, but about trust, clarity, and user experience. Small UX decisions, storytelling, and emotional design significantly influence how technology is perceived and adopted.

What's next for FORGEAI

Next, we plan to onboard verified mentors, expand opportunity partnerships, localize content for different regions, and introduce advanced analytics for institutions supporting youth development. ForgeAI aims to grow into a trusted career operating system for young people globally.
